I'm a Christian wife and stay-at-home mommy to four beautiful and amazing children. I love all things CREATIVE - card making, digital design, home dec, scrapbooking, sewing - you name it, I dabble in it! I am also an independent consultant for Close To My Heart. Thanks for stopping by and please come again... God bless!
It's official! I've got the bug. The sewing bug, that is! Since I had my daughter, I've been so inspired by all these beautiful designer fabrics, patterns and quilts, etc...I found some great finds at Joann's yesterday. I'm going to make a baby blanket, bib and burpees to give to my cousin Tiana at her baby shower this weekend. I'll post the end product when I'm finished.
I wasn't able to go to my little Joshua's baseball game this past Saturday so I made sure to give my husband my camera to capture all of the precious moments. I'm so glad that I did because he got some amazing pics of our son. Joshua had a blast!
Thank you Tamikko for your post and I'm extremely flattered that you like my blog. I still have yet to post my very own artwork, but as you've read, I've had a pretty rough start in 2009. With regard to trying to decide between CTMH and SU, yes SU is more expensive but they have more designs and just more variety overall than CTMH. I also like that their stamps are die cut now so instead of having to cut and mount them to wood blocks, I can adhere them to window cling and use them with my acrylic blocks. At least that was my thinking, but on the other hand, CTMH has wonderful products, too, and the rewards are much greater than SU so that'll weigh heavily on my decision. I wish that CTMH would allow us to use hostess rewards on all products, not just stamps, kits and individual stamp pads and markers. I also wish that they'd sell the B&T papers in coordinating designs in each of the color families...That would be huge! Also, more bulk ribbon. Bottom line, with the economy where it's at, I think I'm better off in the long run staying with CTMH instead of jumping ship. I really do love CTMH's products. I guess I was just struck by all of the various product that SU has to offer. On the other hand, that could be overwhelming to some that have never created a scrapbook or have never made a card. They wouldn't know where to begin! So thanks again for helping me to weigh out the pros and cons of switching companies...I really appreciate it!
About whether or not I'm going to continue with CTMH or not. I'm seriously considering going back to SU. They just have more of a variety of papers, embellies, ribbon, punches, etc... Hmmm, what's a girl to do?
Please forgive the sight of this as this is unusual for even me. I'm not sure if there is a problem with Blogger or just my computer, but I will get this resolved ASAP. I can't get my background to load properly and for some strange reason, I'm not able to adjust my fonts and colors...UGH!
On late Saturday night, my daughter spiked a fever of 101.5 so I gave her a dose of Infant Tylenol and took her into the ER. After a chest x-ray, she was diagnosed with Lower Lobe Pneumonia. The previous day, we'd taken her to her pediatrician for shortness of breath and a horrible cough. She was then diagnosed with bronchilitis and we were sent home with a nebulizer. She's showing improvement today and in between her breathing treatments - once every four hours and her antibiotics - 2 times a day for 10 days, she's in pretty good spirits. Mia's definitely been a trooper! The boys are pretty much well and back to there antics...Ha, Ha, Ha! I'll keep you all posted.

I came across these pics taken 3 years ago and to my surprise, actually had a spare moment to complete this layout last night, which is such a rarity these days. Ever since I had my daughter and with my hubby being ill, life has been pretty chaotic around here. I don't get a lot of ME time anymore. That will change however, once hubby's recovered, so no worries!
Speaking of being ill, the boys seem to be improving. I too, am feeling a bit of improvement as well. My baby girl is in pretty good spirits too, considering she has a cough and a bit of congestion. But the humidifier has been a HUGE help. Thank goodness!
It's official. I'm now sick and my kiddos gave it to me. They've been fighting off a little bug with symptoms of a fever, runny nose and cough that started with my 8 year old, on to my 4 year old, on to my 15 month old, on to my 2 month old and on to me. Gotta love that! The 2 babies and I haven't had a fever though, so that's good. My hubby is down for the count again. It's so bizarre because he's had like 5 good days where he felt like he was well and almost back to normal. Then the following morning he wakes up feeling flu-like symptoms and miserable. I just don't understand what's going on with him and neither does he.
If you could keep our family in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated...

Here's a pic of the cake that my son chose for my birthday. It was tiramisu and oh so YUMMY! MMM MMM GOOD!
And here's a pic of a book that I received as a gift. Very COOL! It's titled "What I Love About You" and offers a fresh way to say "I Love You." The questions and fill-in blanks prompt you to say what's in your heart but may not always be on the tip of your tongue. Playful and tender, this is the perfect gift for the person in your life who makes your pulse race.
Today's my 32nd Birthday and all of children are under the weather...YUCK! Mia had her well baby appointment the night before last and I had to give her some Infant Tylenol last night and early this morning for fever. Interesting because kids 1 and 3never got fevers after their immuniztions, only 2 and 4. Funny how that works!
Anyhow, my morning started off well. My 2 oldest sons, Nick & Josh and their dad sang "Happy Birthday" to me before taking Nick to school. It was great because after they finished, Josh walked over to the kitchen gate looking for the cake and decorations, ready to PARTY. What a cutie!
As for the party, I think we'll be postponing festivities for the weekend...Here's a card that I made using product from the House of 3. I'll be sending these out to friends and family later this week.
I uploaded some pics from my camera last night and came across this one of my husband holding his daughter for the first time in a month or so. My husband had been very ill for a while that he wasn't able to hold her. I thought it was a precious moment, so I thought I'd share it.
Whoa! February came and gone like the wind. I can't believe it's March already! Four more days and I'll be a Birthday Mama... *hint hint* ;)
My Wishlist is long, but a few items I'd love are: * Sizzix Big Shot * Bind-It- All V.2 * The Flip Mino HD, but would settle for the Mino.
Anyhoo, March is going to be filled with many spring projects for me. Starting with my House Warming Book. I can't wait to get started on it! I'm also going to start prepping some kits for CTMH that I'd like to make available for purchase. I've got some great projects in mind, so stay tuned!
