A Bundle of Nerves
Well, I'm currently 35 wks/1 day pregnant with my 3rd son and I have a strong feeling that he's definitely going to be coming early! I have that "Indian Burn" sensation on my tummy and my stomach is always hard as a rock. I can already tell that Lil' Luke is running out of room! Goodness gracious! I just hope that I can make it past my Baby Shower on Sunday, November 11th... I feel so unprepared. We still need to finish painting the nursery and sand and paint the 1/2 bath in there as well. So much to do with so little time... I'm also still trying to get over my cold, no thanks to the fires! The poor air quality really did a number on me. Just when I thought I was pretty much over it, I got worse! Go figure.

Do you know what your legacy is?
Today was an interesting day. My sis and I took our boys to church this morning and today's sermon was an eye opener. Toward the end of the sermon, our pastor asked us, "Do you know what your legacy is?" He then proceeded to give us an example when he asked, "Do you know your Great-Grandfather's full name?" I think the entire church was stunned! It was such a powerful question and mind-blowing at the same time... Our pastor continued on to say that all of us would eventually be forgotten by the time we become Great-Grandparents. It was very sad to hear, but at the same time true. It got me to thinking that I have to do my very best to keep up with mine and my husband's families and teach our children the importance of leaving a legacy behind. With scrapbooking, I will definitely be able to do that and each of my children will have albums to pass down to their children and so on and so forth! So please try and make it a point to scrapbook your precious memories so your family isn't left in the dark and eventually forgotten...

California Wildfires (My Brother, the Squad Leader)
Wed Oct 24, 9:20 PM ET
Adam Castillo and other members of the Orange County Fire Authority Strike Team prepare to move out to cut fire breaks in Live Oak Canyon in eastern Orange County, Calif., Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007. A merciful easing of the winds fueling Southern California's sprawling wildfires finally gave fire crews a chance to fight back against some blazes Wednesday, and weary residents could take solace in an overriding sign of hope: Just one person has died from the flames. Still Hanging Indoors
The fires are still blazing in the counties surrounding us. Air quality is still horrible and the heat, my goodness! It's almost November and 100 degrees outside. That is unheard of! I was kind of worried sending Nick to school and him being outside at recess inhaling all of the ash in the air. But we received an e-mail from the school district stating that they were doing everything possible to keep the children safe and indoors. So that put my mind at ease. Nick says that they eat snack & lunch in class and do various games and activities during recess time, in class as well. The only time they have to go outdoors is when they have to use the restroom. Obviously, they are trying to make the best of a terrible situation.
My heart goes out to all the families that have had to evacuate their homes due to fires closing in on them and to those who've lost their homes. It's tragic! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families...
God Bless!

Poor Air Qualilty
Well, it's Monday - the beginning of the school week and I'm feeling a little better than I did yesterday. It would've been a beautiful day today had the air quality not been so horrible! We have fires going on all around us in Orange County and in Malibu. It's awful! I really feel for those people in those areas that have already lost their homes and those that are still at risk. I also worry about all of the fire crews out there trying to contain these fires... My brother especially!!! I just pray that all goes well and that God keeps him and all the other men and women safe.

It Looks Like a Cold ~ Yuck!
Hey ya'll! It's official. I've caught a cold. Luckily, I caught it early... so I'm hoping to nip it in the butt as soon as possible! I started taking some Zicam yesterday evening, along with my vitamins, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
Anyhow, I've been busy all weekend trying to update my websites, along with creating this new blog and I couldn't be prouder. I'm not a "Computer Genius" or anything like that, but I've been able to teach myself through "Trial & Error". Please feel free to leave your comments and let me know what ya' think!
